TENNIS
The Keene Valley Country Club has 6 tennis courts and a pool, it is a wonderful place for families with children. It is not expensive and you can join using their website. There is also a public court behind the Keene Community Center and several more at the school.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
The Van Hovenberg mountain biking trail system is extensive. At Whiteface, there is even lift service mountain biking in the summer! Drop in at Leep Off Cycles (518-576-9581) on Market Street in Keene Valley for local insight into Mountain Biking in the area. There is a brand new area called The Flume Trail System in Wilmington.
TOWN SUMMER SPORTS LEAGUES

GOLF
The Craig Wood Golf Course is located across from the Cascade Inn on Rt 73 near Lake Placid and is probably the course closest to Keene.
The Lake Placid Club operates what many think of as the prime, classic, courses in the area.
The Whiteface Club and Resort Golf Course is on the Lake.
The Westport Country Club is on the lake shore in Westport.
The Cobble Hill Golf Course in Elizabethtown is a short ride. On this site, be sure to scroll down the page for details.
Ausable Club: In our town, the public can use the golf course off season during the week days. Call the Club manager for details, 518-576-4411.
THE OLYMPIC VENUES
The ORDA Calendar has a lot of information. There are several hockey tournaments. Foot and bike races. Saturday night ice shows. The Horse Shows. Figure skating camps. Hocky camps. The Ironman race. A rugby tournament. Ice dancing. A lot is going on. ORDA has excellent summer camp experiencies for young and old. Public skating is offered some evenings in July and August. And there is now a Ballet School.
