NCPR, North Country Public Radio is the only Adk Park-wide media. They have transmitters in almost every little town in the Adirondack Park, making it the only professional media to really focus on the Park. NCPR broadcasts on three separate frequencies in our town:
Keene: 90.1FM Keene Valley: 96.3FM St. Huberts: 101.7FM
The Adirondack Daily Enterprise is published daily in Saranac Lake and has a nice website that is updated about once a day. The same company publishes The Lake Placid News weekly, which is more about LP and Keene. The Valley News is the free paper that comes in the local mail each week. "Valley" in this case means the Champlain Valley.
There is also the daily Press Republican in Plattsburgh. The web-enhanced version of the New York Times is relevant to our area as well.
The bi-monthly Adirondack Explorer is a non-profit newsmagazine published 6 times a year covering issues across the whole Park. Monthly Adirondack Life posts its feature articles online. Lastly, a new site called the Adirondack Nature Report is definitely worth a look if you have a fast net connection.
