ADK Cafe - Serving fresh local foods, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, 7 days a week in downtown Keene. The whole menu is available for take-out. There is a full bar.
Cedar Run Bakery and Market - Opens early and sells coffee and baked goods as well as take-out lunch items and soups. There is no table service, but there are afew places to sit and have coffee or a sandwich. Offers extensive home made frozen "take and bake" items for dinners
Stewarts - Breakfast and lunch/supper are available here, and ice cream creations, open early-to- late every day.
In the Area:
Essex Provisions is where Stephanie Wilbur is cooking these days. When you're dying for her coffee cake, it really isn't far to drive and the lakeside spot is very nice.
For a special localvore treat check out DaCy Meadow Farm, in Westport. It is owned by the Keene Central School Superintendent and her husband. Their farm-to-table meals are great for events and, if you are lucky, you can get a seat or a table at one of their special meals prepared by star chef Kevin McCarthy.
The Lake Placid News and Aditrondack Daily Enterprise publish a "North Country Dining Guide" that covers LP and Saranac Lake. There are also a variety of places in Elizabethtown and Wesport that a popular with local residents and visitors.
