Giving and Volunteering

The Guide to Giving and Volunteering in Greater Keene has been produced twice in printed editions and now is maintained as a web site.  There are some 30 organizations that are largely financed and run by the community for the benefit of the community. Whether you are new in town or have lived her forever, you will learn something from this website.

To complete projects like the High Peaks Education Foundation’s Broadband Project takes time and money.  Frequently the people that can donate substantial funds have absolutely no time.  And the people with time and skills do not have the money for such projects.  But in our town these groups have a history of coming together for over 100 years to produce things of lasting importance to our community.

The authors of the Guide to Giving and Volunteering (Jim Herman and Dave Mason) are also the authors of this web site.  It currently includes the following organizations.
