High Peaks Artists has been holding an annual show since 1955, usually the first weekend in August at the Firehouse in Keene Valley. Knowledgeable locals often line up before the opening to have a chance to buy a new painting by a favorite local artist.
Skylight Fine Art is located in Keene Valley next to Keene Fitness. It offers a selective inventory of important nineteenth-century American landscape paintings by artists of the Hudson River School as well as works by contemporary artists interested in the landscape painting tradition.
The Corscaden Barn is located over the Beers Bridge off Rt 73 south of Keene Valley. It has supported artisits of all sorts for over 30 years and their openings are truly fun events to attend.
Atea Ring is located in Westport and handles fine art by well established local painters as well as a large catalog of work by Harold Weston.
